Aurora has designed an integrated development plan that takes advantage of its high grade Manganese, Nickel and Cobalt mineral assets, as well as its thermal coal asset that is located in the immediate vicinity of the Nickel and Cobalt assets.
The vertically integrated plan will allow Aurora to maximize efficiency by taking advantage of the locations of it's mining assets, minimize expenses by utilizing electricity from a mine-mouth power plant at its thermal coal mine, and maximize profits by vertically integrating starting from the mining of Nickel, Cobalt, and Manganese all the way through to Nickel Sulfate, Cobalt Sulfate, and Manganese Sulfate production and subsequent manufacturing of EMD then NMC powder and ultimately Li-NMC rechargeable battery cells.
